My Kumho 315/35 x 17s (on my 86 BSP Corvette with ABS) still have the
circumferential groove but the other treads are just a shadow, now. My
question is, I have an Evolution Phase 1 school Saturday and an event on
Sunday so I could easily see 35 runs or so, do I have enough tread? The
pavement is smooth asphalt (Turner Field in Atlanta) which is fairly easy
on tires.
I have a new set ready to be mounted but I'd like to wear out the old
ones before mounting them. I know, I know I need another set of wheels,
but that just isn't in my budget this month <grin>.
The mounted Kumhos are my first set so I don't have any concept of when
they are gone. I've been amazed how well this first set has worn. I've
lost track of the number of runs we've put on them in the last year. I
know we put about 35 runs on them in the first month.
So, experienced Kumho people, let me know if I'm safe for this weekend.
