 Hey Bruce, Texaco is a Star 8^). Flying A was the fore runner of Phillips 66.
 
 In CA, all Flying A's where changed to 66's in the late sixties.

The Flying A was the symbol for "Associated" stations - waaay back. It ended 
up at part of Mobil - Now Exxon-Mobil. (as of last week). -Seth Emerson
