About another car you'd like to autocross: Varsity Ford in Palo Alto, CA wanted
$5995 (frankly titled "Dealer Profit") for a '99 Mustang SVT Cobra - the one
with the IRS. This was on top of the $34K that Ford was asking for the car,
which is supposed to generate >300 HP but consistently comes up about 20 short
due to problems which Ford still hasn't figured out how to fix. (See

Oh, yeah, and they wouldn't let anyone test drive it. "Ya pays yer money and ya
