I suspect the passenger age rule has more to do with trying to keep kids out
of the grid rather than off the course.  Grid is one of the most hazardous
areas of the event site, almost as bad as the paddock.  ;)

Either that or it's part of the insurance contract, in which case it doesn't
have to make sense.
