I just mounted two new P7000 on my car to replace Potenza RE 940. They are
225/50/16 and 940s are (or at least the look much wider) wider. Also side
walls on 940s are stiffer than Pirellis. That also makes P7000 more
comfortable to drive. According to Tire Rack survey, they do have better
dry, wet, and snow traction and they last longer then REs. And they are
cheaper too.

I heard good things about S-02s (especially in wet), but they had no snow
ratings. If you don't care about that white slippery stuff, I believe that
S-02s would be a great choice. If snow is regular around your place, than
check those P7000,

Good luck
