You dont happen to have a return spring on the TO fork do you?
The symptoms you describe occur when the spring returns the fork beyond where
the TO bearing touches the clutch, and you have to pump it a few times to get
the
clutch disengaged.
After you release the clutch, the pressure is released and the TO bearing
returns to
to where the spring takes it.
The alpine doesnt really need a TO return spring, the clutch pushes the fork to
where it
needs to be when you let off the clutch.
