Once you've chewed tham up with an impact driver, try a good centre punch on 
the outside of the head. That worked for me. Once loose, a Phillips 
attachment on the end of a tommy-bar does the trick.

Either way, you'll most probably need new screws, (not to mention a few 
replacement knuckles), but these are readily available from the usual 
sources.
