I have a Sunbeam-Talbot "Colour Scheme" booklet that has large paint chips of
the 1953-54 colors. It was printed in October of 1953
The colors are:
Black
Sapphire Blue (medium silver blue)
Gun (metallic gray)
Alpine Mist (bluish silver)
Light Stone (a medium tan)
Crystal Green (can't describe, but it is beautiful)
Ivory (light tan)
Coronation Red (very bright red)
I will try to scan it in, but it will be a BIG file.

Hi all,
I have a query about original paint samples from a Talbot 90 owner in
our club.
Ian, Jan, any info about paint colour that translates from 60's Alpines
to 50's Talbots?
Bob H. can you help from a 'proper' Alpine perspective?
Replies to aviva@iinet.net.au please.
Oh, we are in Australia, but we do get the big name paint companies
here.
Cheers,
Paul.

Paul,
Can the club help.
I am trying to find out what colours were applicable to my 1953 MK2a
Talbot
90.
When I check the web site in England there are numerous colours for
Sunbeams
in that year.
I really need to see the colours and wonder if anyone might know of a
paint
supplier that has the colour selection and can show me a sample.
As the car is being stripped back I have the option of changing the
colour,
but I want to be sure that the new colour is correct for the model and
year.
The current colour is a light blue which was over sprayed with a
metallic
blue.
If I am stuck I will revert to the original colour, but it looks a
little
drab.
Any help will be appreciated.
