AN bolts are the best you can buy. They are designed and production run tested thoroughly. I think they are mostly designed to be used in shear, not clamping. The only drawback for auto or other use is the thread length. The thread length is ALWAYS twice the shank diameter (only). That's why they sell a bunch of small increment lengths. Gary Strom |
