2.6/2.8 periphials like the bellhousings. The Capri and MustangII clutch
bellhousings are the main ones and are difficult to find, for me. The
starter is bolted to the bellhousing, so I think the starter location
should be the same as a 2.8. Also, the T-54 T-bird tranny bolt pattern
will bolt up the the Carpi/MustangII bellhousing (I verified this with
my Capri bellhousing and T-54).
I tried to start a dialog with that lady, but she seems busy and didn't
say much about the motors to me. Alex, try to get more info from her
about the motors. Us guys, on the east coast, will want to know about
shipping charges (if she has firmed up any shipping details). If these
motors really are factory fresh, 2.0 displacement, the motors should run
forever in an Alpine. This could be a really, sweet deal for you guys
thinking about conversions!
