Hi Bob,
I bought steel wheels to replace the ugly mags on my Alpine, each one had a
different date code and many layers of silver paint. Several applications of
chemical stripper revealed all to have an ivory/yellow color as the most likely
original color. I bought the best match I could find in a spray can, not sure
it is the right color but it grew on me. That said I have not seen anyone else
with an ivory like color on their wheels so I could be way wrong on this one.
