Not sure of the history of this unit - rebuilt/new/guess?
If it was working before the solenoid should be OK - it is not THAT
sensitive to adjustment, however the adjustment is easy if not a bit of
a squeeze.

With the car stationary, engine off and the gear lever in 3 or 4 th, can
you hear the OD solenoid engage - in a quiet garage you should be able
to.

On the overrun is the engine showing any signs of "freewheeling", ire
loke the clutch is disengaged? Does the car reverse OK (NOT WITH THE OD
ENGAGED- damage results).

Recheck the oil level again.
