I had my rockers re-done by ROCKER ARM SPECIALISTS years ago with great
results. They bronze bushed the rockers & supplied
a hardened shaft. If the rocker pad is worn they dress them as long as
things remain in spec. I think it's pretty normal for this motor to make
valve train noise. It's slightly louder with an after market cam because
of larger lash settings. I've heard that roller rockers are noisier but
have no personal experience with them.
