The fuel pump has practically no residual fuel pressure after the engine is 
turned off since it only runs at 2 to 3 PSI (this is a guess here) when the 
engine is operating normally.  The most likely reason for the fuel seepage is 
that the gas tank is full or at least over half full.  You could find a bolt 
that fits snugly in the rubber gas line, be sure to use one that has an 
unthreaded shoulder and use a hose clamp to ensure it doesn't leak.  Remember 
the gravity fuel flow on the cars of the early 1900s, "they don't need no 
stinkin fuel pumps" .
