        Not to patronizing, but have you considered the possibility that
supercharging the
motor might be putting more stress the clutch?
        Having asked that, I must admit that I have had no experience
with Luk, only
Borg and Beck, and even then I have fewer than 1,000 miles on my clutch
since the
rebuild. So you may heap scorn on me and my opinion, I will understand
and not take offense.
        The fact that there is excessive wear on the flywheel makes me
wonder if the clutch
is fully disengaging - perhaps it is dragging at stoplights, etc. Was
your fork pin broken?
Is the tranny grinding when being placed in reverse, or is it difficult
to get into first
when the car is stopped?

        I agree that you are not getting the lifetime from your clutch
that you should.
The TR6 clutch is notoriously finicky, so the usual caveats apply.

        As far as use of the clutch, the only thing I can think of is
that if you spend a lot
of time waiting at stoplights, you should slip the tranny into neutral
and release the clutch.
That minimizes clutch and throw out bearing wear. I would not ordinarily
expect that to matter 
much, but maybe your commute is especially demanding?

6-Pack Listers,

I don't know if any of you out there have experienced the same issues
and experience I have had with the Luk clutchs from TRF.  Today, I am
putting in my 3rd clutch in the 5 years I've owned my 6.

I replaced the original clutch with a LUK, when I bought the car in 2000
and replaced it again with a LUK in May 2003 when rebuilding the motor,
because of a broken finger.  I knew it needed replacement at that time
due to alot of whistling noise it made.

Now, while the tranny is out to replace a rear main seal (also only 2
years old and from the same vendor), I find that the clutch needs to be
replaced again due to excessive wear on both the pressure plate and
flywheel.  This time the clutch lasted 2 years and 6500  miles (since
the motor re-build).

Has anyone come across similar issues with the LUK cluch or do I have to
re-examine how I'm using the clutch pedal?
