That's an interesting question.  I've heard that both styles were
available.  I'm about to tackle the project (as early as tomorrow), and
ordered a rebuild kit from Rimmer Brothers that only had o-rings.
However, as a back-up, I also ordered a whole new assembly from them
(with a new switch).  It matches the original, unlike the ones I've
heard are carried by Moss and VB.  It was pricey, but nice to know that
I've got it as a fall-back if I'm not successful on using the rebuild
kit.  If the rebuild kit works, then I'll ebay it.
