rear wheels wobble

Where do the rear hubs? wear. I have a little wobble side to side and up n down 
on both rear wheels.
When i had it apart last week fixing something else i had the drum off. I could 
wiggle the center shaft that takes the large locknut a bit by hand. Easier with 
the drum or tire on. Thanks
