A French inventor, Aldo Costa, constructed a perpetual motion machine in his
back yard. I cannot locate the site where I originally saw the wheel, with
the mpegs showing the wheel in operation. He ran it both directions to show
that it was not being turned by the wind. The motive power is gravity,
harnessed by shifting weights. His current wheel towers in his backyard,
but Aldo says it is a "model" of the bigger 300 foot tall one he wants to
build.

Hmmmm. I wonder. Might be a way to harness an old TR generator to a
perpetual motion wheel to keep the battery up over the winter.
