Here's a link I was exploring and I thought others might enjoy it.  One 
writer gives a physics lesson on why the 200 mpg carburetor  is a myth.  
Sounds plausible and I figure if it WERE possible with today's fuels, 
someone would be building them in their shop and selling them.

The other topics such as the simple process of boiling soybeans to extract 
the oil to burn in diesels are very interesting.
