The latest six pack net digest discussed a plethora of problems identical to
the ones I am currently experiencing. I recently asked our local British Car
Repair guy how to correct the poor fit for the bottom rear of my drivers side
door. He suggested bending the door and said it could be bent a lot easier if
you remove the bolts from the inside of the door that secure the window winding
hardware. He said the window hardware adds a lot of strength to the door and
it can be twisted a lot more easily this way. Haven't got around to this yet
so don't know how effective this suggestion is but it makes sense. Your
mileage may vary.
