Have you guys that have done a few engines noticed theres 2 lines on the inside
left of the timing cover. If you compress the 2 flat chain tensioner springs to
install the cover they get stuck on the lines, one for each spring about 3'8"
apart. HMMM. They look perfectly straight like they belong there but i don't
think they do. I think the idea is the springs put a slight constant pressure
on the chain when the chain stretches and shouldn't be stuck on a frickin line
lol. The spring would most likely pop off the lines but you never know.
Another thing, do you use permatex on the gasket? I did last time and will
tomorrow, just curious. I have a thing for blue fingers. Have to be a lot more
talented than me to get that cover on while keeping your fingers flesh colored.
Maybe the wire trick will work instead of compressing the springs with my
finger.
