Alan: I just had my rear and front bumpers re-chromed. I don't plan to re-install the black rubber bumpers. I trial fitted the rear one to see if I would need a spacer, but I don't think it's necessary and I'd rather not have to use one if I can avoid it. Based on my trial fitting, I think all I'll have to do is slightly elongate the holes used to bolt the corner bumper pieces so that the hole is further forward. That's what I plan to do.
