Tranny help

I installed my newly rebuilt engine and transmission yesterday.  Unfortunatly 
ther seems to be a problem with the tranny.  I had to replace two gears 
(reverse and 3rd/4th synchro assbly), the 2nd gear top-hat bushing, the 
layshaft 
needle bearings, and thrustwashers.  Everything went together quite well.  it 
is 
in neutral and spins freely.  The problem is that when I installed the top 
cover and shifter assbly the lever is locked up. It will not shift into any 
gear.  Any ideas?
