I just talked to Sharon at Ssnake-Oyl Products and they CAN and WILL
re-web Triumph TR6 Kangol seat belts. The retractor mechanism MUST be
working as they are unable to rebuild them now. The man who rebuilt mine
(an maybe others) has passed away and he was the only one able to repair
Kangols.

The price ain't cheap...approx. $150.00 each to re-web. The other option
is as below... Better than Securon because you keep the buckle that fits
on the sill park as well as the original female part.

List, Thanks for all the thoughtful replies.

Here the last piece of the puzzle which concludes like most threads.(the
original look will cost you).

Dear ssnake-oyl.com,

Q: Do you restore Kangol retractable seatbelts installed as original
equipment on 70's TR6?

A: We can't reweb the retractors. WE can restore some but have to
replace the retractor with a generic one.

Q: What is the cost?
A: The generic retractor is $75 and to reweb is $45-$60.

I have found one original in my heap of parts and I think I will restore
it and buy the other. (unless I can convince someone to relinquish one
of his and I promise not to kill my family).

Jim
