Why not resort to slitting the shrink-tubing to wrap around exposed wires,
avoiding the necessity of disconnects. It should reseal itself as the heat
shrinks it into place.
Another method of keeping the rodents away is to use some of the wife's dryer
sheets. Yeah, those smell-good sheets she throws into the dryer with the
towels will keep the vermin from your engine compartment, trunk and interior
while
in storage. How you explain why your car smells so fresh at the first spring
club meet is up to you. But it works.
