hey guys and gals, my neighbor and i work together on our LBC'S, i,of course
being the smart one, have the 6 (cf52092), and john has the midget--he has
owned it since new, 1977, and she is really nice. does anyone know if the
brake light on the car is a dual purpose light? we are having problems with
bleeding the brakes and i suspect the brake warning system. the rears will
just not bleed fluid. the brake warning light will illuminate with the
emergency brake engaged. this is he claims, its only purpose. looking at the
system, there looks like a pressure diff. warning switch in about the same
place as the 6.it has an elec. switch attached just like our late model 6's.
does anyone have any knowledge about this system? i suspect the light is dual
purpose with a passive warning for the diff. press. and an active warning for
the emergency brake engaged. any imput would be appreciated. thanks, steve
