Kerry, Tight front suspension after a rebuild is common, as I also found out. I likened trying to turn the vertical link akin to trying to move the lever on a lever shock - stiff and difficult. It is the roadspring that is exerting alot of force against the suspension components. Once the weight of the car is on the wheel it will be easier to steer but still be a bit stiff as it is rebuilt.
