Your description sounds pretty much like a long-standing problem on my
71. My vibration is around 65 mph. I tried tightening the steering rack
mounts (along with everything else) and it seemed to help slightly (but
maybe it was just wishful thinking). The improvement, if any, didn't last
long.
I was just wondering about the experiences of others on the list with the
solid mounts. The local roads feel none too smooth already....
