Sorry Robert, not on this one. I'm familiar with what you are talking
about - the last time I put a new head gasket on there was a tab on it.
There is no tab on this one, nor are there any markings on it to
suggest up or down. I guess they've changed the gasket design. I got
it from Moss, it's a "Payen" brand gasket, which is a Federal Mogul
company.
