Dave I'm running a "A" type overdrive in my 74, (I know it should be the J
type) the "A" is good in 3rd and 4th only, I never bother with engaging the
overdrive in 3rd however and just use it for highway cruising in 4th.
By the way I love my "A" in the 74.
