Hi folks,
I just received a gasket kit from TRF, and upon inspecting it, I found that
the manifold gasket is very much different from what is on my car presently.
The old gasket is metal, and the holes all match up perfectly. The manifold
gasket that came with the TRF kit is made up of a fiber material. It also
does not fit right. While the exhaust ports match up fine, the intake holes
are too big and too far apart. I had also ordered a separate "header"
gasket, which is supposedly "heavy duty," but it looks like the same gasket,
except that it's fit is even worse. Should I expect to have to trim these
gaskets? Which side mates to the head? Incidentally, the metal gasket I have
removed looks to be in good health.
