not familiar with the 6 but he has a brother (me) that is and a lot of 6pack

First, you should be able to find a locksmith to make you a key for the
switch, although you may want to find one that has been around for a
while. It is after all somewhat of an art.
Second, What part of NC is your brother headed back to? I am located near
Asheville, if he needs help, or someone to consult with.
