During my resto, I removed the frame and had it 'blasted and powdercoated and I didn't find it to be fragile. (It looks great now, painted the same light tan color as the Robbins top and the interior.) My concern would be the chances of survival of the soft top during removal and replacement. When I was carrying my old (apparently decent) one to my "spares" storage area, it literally fell into two pieces! Good luck. Mike N CC75088L |
