Mike---I believe you may have answered your own question regarding the
roller rockers. While easier on the valve train, they offer very little
else, unless the ratio is more than the stock 1.46:1. 
We know that the S2 cam returns great performance, once past 3,000 rpms.
If your CR is stock, this cam can be a real slug in the low rpm band. It
will be a trade off to what you now enjoy with the early cam.
