Evan, funny that you should mention this as I recently had the
opportunity to see a tremendous TR6, and I do mean tremendous, that had
Panasport 16" wheels and tires. He was running a 70 profile tire I
believe and it filled out the wheel wells and looked fabulous.

I will attempt to contact the owner to find out the exact tire and size
and then forward it to you.

If you decide to stick with 15" tires, I am running Michelin XH4
205-75/15 tires on my car. This size tire is extremely close to the
correct rolling radius (<1% variance) if I remember correctly. Mine are
white walled tires which could certainly be mounted the other way and
they may be available in a blackwall. See my website for pictures of
the way the wheels and tires look.

I will also forward separately a picture of the TR6 with the 16"
Panasports.

Greetings,

As you well know 185 SR15 Michelin Red Lines can't be found. (It wasn't
really a very sporting tire anyway). I am wanting to keep the same
rolling
radius if possible and still benefit from modern tire technology to keep
a
somewhat sporting nature to the car (suspension mods are on website if
interested).

I think either 205 75/15 or 205 70/15 tires come close and will allow me
to
keep the original wheels.

Panasport makes a 16 inch wheel that will fit. However, I don't think a
wide tire will not look correct on the car so a 195 70/16 or 205 65/16
would work if they exist.

What has been your experience with getting relatively modern rubber on a
TR6? Any input would be appreciated for either 15 or 16 inch rims.
Tire
clearance? Tread wear? Performance? Appearance?

Thanks for all your help.

God bless,
