Pat---Door straps that really keep the door open make a snapping sound as they're opened, as they pass the bump on the strap. With care, the "spring" on this assembly can be sprung open a little, if you want to go to the trouble to take it out of the frame again. This loosening will reduce the force of the snap. Going too far with this "adjustment" and it will no longer keep the door open at all levels of car incline. Dick T. |
