Robert---According to Walt, his engine miscues came about suddenly, so while your concerns about play in the timing chain and gears are valid, they rarely occur 'all of a sudden'. I've also concluded that play here as well as in the distributor shaft doesn't seem to make any difference to how well the engine runs, so far as what you feel in the pant's seat. I would like to hear from someone who has no timing bounce thruout the advance curve. Dick T. '73 |
