I think the sport coil is designed to run unballasted. On '72 and up TR6's, the wiring harness incorporates a resistor wire. If you hook the sport coil up to the original wiring, it won't function to its full potential. I have the Sport Coil on my '74 TR6 with a Pertronix Ignition conversion. I did bypass the resistor wire....all is well so far. Chad |
