Robert---There's a simple way to test your theory. If you think the fuel tank is trying to feed the fuel pump while under the load of a "vacuum," it will hiss when opened, as air rushes in. (You may have to get your ear close to hear it.) Or, drive with your cap not snapped tight enough to cause a vacuum. At least long enough to see if the bucking stops. Dick T. |
