We're trying to compile a list of the paint codes for modern paint systems of original colors.
This was formulated for me and after spray outs matched my cars original colour which I got from under the liscence plate lamp gasket perfectly. The car had never been repainted and the outside colour was faded but under the liscence plate lamp gasket the original colour was perfect and still glossy.
The paint I had mixed is PPG (manufactuer) / DCC CONCEPT acrylic urethane (type). If you go to the paint store ask for Form P-168 (7/93) and it will tell you all you need to know about its properties. The primer I am going to use after stripping is DX-1791 (form P-141) which is a 2 part epoxy etching primer , which will be topped of with DP (form P-122) which is a 2 part epoxy sealer. Then I will do my body work and apply NCP-250 which is a high build 2 part epoxy primer for all my block sanding.
The Iris Blue formula is:
924 | 410.0 |
900 | 1090.0 |
902 | 28.2 |
931 | 35.0 |
927 | 20.0 |
904 | 35.0 |
901 | 5.5 |
984 | 870.0 |
