White Meat Chilli - 1997

Ingredients
- 8 lbs smoked turkey meat (Jon smokes his in a plain old Weber grill.)
- 2 lbs hot Italian sausage
- 4-5 medium onions, coarsely chopped
- 2 large bell peppers
- 2 large (28 oz) cans of tomatoes
- 2 cans (16 oz) Brooks Hot Chilli Beans(optional)
- 3 tbsp (tablespoons) chili powder
- 2 tsp (teaspoons) black pepper
- 4 tsp cumin
- 1/2 garlic (golf ball size - that's a cooking measure, eh?)
- 5 green roasted Anaheim peppers (seeds removed)
- 2 dried red Anaheim peppers( seeds removed)
- 2 beers
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Prepare turkey on grill, also (in separate piece of foil)
include green Anaheim peppers so they can roast and absorb the smoky flavor.
The cooking time for the turkey runs 8 hours, more or less.
- Brown sausage, onion, bell peppers, and garlic.
- Mix in the rest of the stuff and simmer 2-3 hours.
