Venolia Pistons have been prized parts of racing engines for a
least the last 60 years. I've never heard anything but good about
them. I'll be ordering a set myself when I get to building the
new engine for my Volvo (I got a B234F head, so I need pistons
with four valve reliefs).
I am rebuilding a 1622 and the only cast pistons that I can find
are those big, heavy, not very nice 5 ring County pistons. It
seems that no one has the original style 4 ring pistons any
more. As a consequence, I am looking at going for forged
pistons.
The Venolia pistons out of Long Beach, California have come
highly recommended. The pricing is good. Has anyone had any
experience with them?
