This will be energized all the time not just when the key is turned on, so I would recommend checking out your connections to the dome light.<br> The turn signal issue is most likely incorrect wiring at the direction indicator relay unit. Here is a diagram of just the unit that may help you. On my own car, the cover was on the unit incorrectly so when I thought I was attaching a wire to terminal 1 it was actually terminal 8.
