One of my biggest regrets was not jumping on an NOS pair of Lucas 576 lamps, NIB, one white, one yellow, on the MG board for $150 the pair. By the time I sent the guy a message he'd sold them.

Auction stealer is an interesting concept.  I often find it's best to not bid at 
ll and wait for things to be relisted at increasingly lower opening prices 
ecause nobody is bidding  :)  
My other thing is to check saved searches constantly for foolish buy it now 
rices.  An Airfix MG 1100 kit regularly sells for $100+, but some chump listed 
ne for $19 buy it now... So I did.  Do not trust the "just listed" alerts on 
Bay, the come way too late.  
My most recent regret is a set of NOS BMC radiator muffs for 90 euro buy it now.  
 should have waited for it to be relisted but was too excited.
