Hi Andy!

What is the reason for the transmission rebuild, in the first place?  If the gears are good and the syncro action was good, then there is no reason to replace the syncros.  However, if there is any doubt, I’d go ahead and replace them.

Hello;  I’m attempting to rebuild my old Mini gearbox, what I’m not sure of is whether the synchros and/or hubs need replaced.  Gears look OK.

 

Beer is involved for payment to inspect the gearset.
