Dan:
My dad, David F. Quinlan, was a longtime volunteer for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, and as a friend of Alan R. (“Pat”) Patterson, was one of the original volunteers. My dad also was Pat’s mechanic when he raced Formula B, and later worked on his Elva and Lotus. I enjoyed working on Pat’s cars with my dad.
My dad passed in 2018, and after everything was sorted out and Covid passed, I was finally able to start clearing out my parent’s home, which I now own.
There is a hardtop for a Triumph Spitfire, as well as a luggage rack and (I believe) a bonnet for either the Spitfire or the TR7. I don’t know the years for either car, although I used to own the TR7 before my dad purchased it from me and won a few car show trophies.
Anyway, I wonder if someone associated with the PVGP would be able to use them, and if so, I would like to donate them to the PVGP. After sitting for a long time, they need to be cleaned up (and rubber gaskets may need to be replaced), but look to be in good condition.
Let me know.
Thanks,
Rene Quinlan
