Run to “My Brothers Place” by Pat Ledford
The May 7th Run to ???? now has a destination. We will still meet at the Sheetz at 2000 Erham Road in Cranberry TWP. Drivers meeting at 10:15, First carr off at 10:30. We will head north and have a pit break at the Speedway in Barkeyville off of Route 8. The address is 5813 Pittsburgh Road Harrisville PA. After taking a travel break, we will circle around and stop for lunch at “My Brothers Place” (this is the name of the restaurant which is not owned by my brother). The restaurant is located at 2058 Leesburg Grove City Road, Mercer PA.
The route will have a combination of curves and country roads with simple directions. Remember to have your lights on and keep track of the three cars behind you. The run will be rain or shine and the restaurant would like to have a number of people eating, please send me who will be attending the run by the morning of Friday May 6th.
After lunch if you wish to visit other attractions; there is the Wendell August Forge, Libations Winery, and the Amish Peddler Store just west of the restaurant. Grove City Outlet mall is located to the East. For those of you who remember the old Kohler Brewery Co, the Grandsons of the original owners have opened two new locations and are brewing the original beer as a PA craft beer.
