SVRA Vintage Races at Mid-Ohio in Lexington Ohio. Corvair is the featured racecar. Next year it is our Triumphs and will be the location of the 2020 Kastner Cup.

I plan on attending this June 22 and wonder if any other WPTA will attend? Couple hour drive from PGH.

There is often a Triumph / Brit car show in the infield on Sat if interested.

Weather prediction is Sunny 77 degrees. THAT COULD CHANGE with this crazy weather this year.

It?s a fun day hope to see some WPTA's there.

Attended this many times years ago.  Arguably one of the most spectator friendly road tracks in the country.  My favorite spot was always the end of the back straight stands.  The car show is well attended also.   I highly recommend it.  Unfortunately, it's the same weekend as Norwalk.

My friend has moved to Florida and is selling his 1980 MGB with 38,000 miles.  It has been garaged kept all of its life and is in excellent condition.  Jim Boffo just went through all systems. Seems like a lot interest developing and that?s good. As it relates to finding a room to stay Sat night into Sun. Larry and I spoke earlier today, Larry is not interested in making those arrangements this late and neither am I so to those interested in staying over find a roommate and find a room. There are many motels up and down I-71 close to MID OHIO. I may do likewise but since I live closer than most WPTA folks I can always just come home.

See all at Rick Browns event next weekend.

I'm going via I-271 and I-71 and leaving very early but WPTA meet-up on 
route 30 makes sense. Needs coordinated by someone from PGH.

There is a Bob Evans (16230 Dresden Ave. East Liverpool, OH 43920) at the junction of Rt 30 and Ohio Rt 170 where we could meet for breakfast.  The restaurant is 2 hours and 24 minutes form Mid Ohio via Rt 30.  I was thinking meet for breakfast at 7 am, depart for the track around 7:45.  We would arrive at Mid Ohio about 10:15.  I would like to leave for home by 6 pm at the latest to avoid driving in the dark.  Let me know what you think about my suggested times and overall plan.

The British Invade Amish Country

Please join us on June 15 for our Run to Amish Country.

We will travel back roads into Ohio before stopping for lunch at the Dutch Valley Restaurant in Sugarcreek. After lunch you may start back home, or join a group to make the most
of your visit to Amish Country.

We will meet in the empty parking lot near Shop & Save on Steubenville Pike in Imperial PA 15071.

This is just four miles west of Exit 60 of I-376, where Route 30 splits off from Route 22. There is a McDonald?s next door for those who need to fill-up (or empty out) their morning coffee. We will conduct a short driver?s meeting at 10:00 am, and all groups will be gone by 10:15. It will be a leisurely 99 mile back road trek, with a pit stop at mile 54.

We expect to arrive for lunch around 1:00 pm.

If you have evening plans, keep in mind that the drive back to the starting place is only about 1 ? hours using Routes 250 and 22. However, we do hope that you will join in to extend your stay before starting back home.

Funny, sort of, that It costs $40 to pre purchase the ticket verses $35 at

We need 6 volunteers to count ballots at British Car Day.

We will do this in two shifts.  12:00 - 1:30 and 1:30 - 3:00.

Counting the ballots consists of entering the results from each ballot into a computer spreadsheet.  It's really easy to do.  Instructions will be provided.

The drive to Mid-Ohio should take 2 hours and 45 minutes. This put us at the track around 10:30 AM.



We can leave the track around 6 PM to avoid driving in the dark on the way home.

Although we will not turn away help in any one area, it?s extra helpful to assist Jim Stoffel in getting all of the cars onto the field in an expedient manner Saturday morning, and relieving anyone caught in the sun too long. I would like to assign these jobs specifically, and in shifts.

Groups 1, 3 and 4 Qualify @ 10:30 and race @ 4:25 on Saturday. These groups typically have the Triumphs and other LBC?s in them as well as Italian and German cars.

Winery Tour

Please join us on Saturday, June 29th, as we follow the Wine and Brew Trail in Lawrence County, PA, and visit some of the local wineries and breweries located along Route
208.

We will begin at the Country Fair Convenience Store,
1843 South Center Street,
Grove City, PA.

Which is near the Grove City Premium Outlets off Interstate 79.

Driver?s meeting will start at 10:30 AM and the tour will begin travelling west. We will visit two wineries, two breweries, and one hard cider location which also sells
infused vinegar and oils.

We also stop at the Cheese House in New Wilmington, PA where they stock over 100 domestic
and imported cheeses. Bring a cooler for your purchases.

We end our tour with lunch at:

Bogey?s Bar and Grill,
3535 Upland Avenue (Route 616) in Lowellville, OH.

We should arrive there between 1 and 1:30 PM. Tables have been reserved but your RSVP by June 25 to johnstydo at gmail.com or call 724-699-8594 would be appreciated.

Subject: [WPTA] John and Karen's Brew and Distillery tour

Many thanks to John and Karen for arranging this tour. I particularly liked the Derailed Distillery. Pat Ledford caught up with us in New Wilmington and I hadn?t seen him in a long time so that was nice too. He?s still having carb issues with his TR8 so it was the PU again   Hope he gets the TR 8 on the road again soon. We had some spotty rain and by the end of the day it got pretty hot. The Fish sandwich at Bogey?s was huge. First fish sandwich I found in Ohio that can match PA?s but in reality Bogey?s is only a few miles into Ohio.
