In the end, no real easy answers emerged. So my question is, who got these letters and what did they say? Is there anyone on this list who was present at that meeting in San Luis Obispo? BTW, this is why I love e-mailing lists as opposed to forums. They can sleep for years yet wake up and be useful in an instant. _______________________________________________________________________ Wayne Simpson StagHunter at comcast.net 1973 Triumph Stag #LE 21416 U Carmine Red, Saddle Tan 1980 Triumph TR7 TPVDJ8AT202532 Inca Yellow, Golden Tan Check Lover of Triumph's 3 bastard Brick Township, NJ sons: TR7 - TR8 - STAG _______________________________________________________________________ From spitlist at cox.net Wed Feb 3 11:19:21 2010 From: spitlist at cox.net (Joe Curry) Date: Wed, 3 Feb 2010 11:19:21 -0700 Subject: [VTR] BMW cease and desist letters In-Reply-To: <4B69A670.7000201@comcast.net> References: <4B69A670.7000201@comcast.net> Message-ID: I did a search on BMW Cease and Desist and came up with a couple of hits one about the use of Mini Likenesses on roller coaster rides and the other about AskJolene.com regarding BMW content in their web site. Did you see the TR6 Hot Wheels? The claim stated was that "the marketing department over at BMW is finally getting some mileage out of the Triumph licensing they currently own the rights to." I don't know anything about that but my grandson Joey thinks the BRG TR6 race car Hot Wheel is the coolest thing. I bought 6 of them on e-bay. They also have one in silver.
