I just  saw the news that Westport's Paul Newman died last night.  While  I
never met him personally, I often saw him around Westport, at the theater  &
at Lime Rock.  A great actor and a great racer, even in his  latter years.
May we all be able to drive as well at that  age.



I had the honor to meet him a couple of times at vintage races and he was a  
very "down home" man. And I noticed the vintage crowd treated him as just  
another racers, I bet he liked that.
 In his honor I think I'll go watch "Winning" for about the hundredth  time.
